A Twilight Zone-less Tower of Terror

Out of pure fun, I’ve decided to finally tackling something I’ve always wanted to tackle and that was to design the Tower of Terror but without any references to the Twilight Zone. While I personally think that the Twilight Zone elements increase the ride’s enjoyment with all of its easter eggs and the Rod Serling narration, I do believe that a completely original version of the attraction with no IP would be just as good, if not better; very similar to like what we see in Tokyo’s Tower of Terror. I won’t be taking any single Tower of Terror and altering it but rather starting from scratch yet picking elements from the classic rides while maintaining the overall storyline.

Do Disney Parks fans hate change?

Robert Niles’s article, “Why do Disneyland fans complain so much?” has recently been spread around a lot of Disney fan communities. In the article, Niles writes that [hardcore] Disney fans hate seeing the parks change and then goes on to question why these fans continue to go to Disneyland if it angers so much. Did the California really ever leave Disney California Adventure?

Ever since the announcement of Cars Land on October 17th, 2007, it has been widely speculated and debated on countless Disney forum sites across the internet that Disney has abandoned the California part of Disney California Adventure. This belief has only been reinforced by the removal of such attractions as Superstar Limo, Golden Dreams, and Soarin’ over California as well as changes made to the lands like the removal of the Golden Gate Bridge and the Bountiful Valley Farm. Despite these changes, however, Disney has not abandoned the California theme but rather loosened it. Today I’m going to explain why and hopefully end this debate once and for all.

Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission Breakout! What should we expect?

In case you haven’t heard the news, at San Diego Comic Con 2016, Disney announced that Tower of Terror in Disney California Adventure would be getting a face-lift into Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission Breakout! The attraction has been described as a kind of warehouse, fortress, power-plant by Joe Rhode, the lead Imagineer behind this project. According to Mr. Rhode, the attraction will take guests up and down, just like Tower of Terror, but rather than the scary element of Tower of Terror, now it’ll be funny and full of humor and music. You can watch the Joe Rhode attempt to kind of describe and sort of give an idea as to what the ride might kind of sort of be like in this video hereAs you can see in the header for this entry, there was also this piece of concept art released by Disney. Now, after studying this piece of concept art and watching the video with Joe Rhode multiple times, I’ve come to this conclusion this ride will be nothing but absolute garbage.
